GED HALL - REFORM UK
FARNHAM & BORDON
Ged was educated in North Wales and went on to read Economics at the University of Greenwich in London and has lived with his wife and three sons in Hindhead for over 20 years. Ged is a former Deputy Leader of Waverley Borough Council and former President of Haslemere Community Rugby Club.
From a modest background of being a builder’s son, Ged is accustomed to hard work and delivery. Ged's political views are center-right believing in low taxation, and supporting business and entrepreneurship, whilst ensuring public services are fit for purpose and deliver value for money.
Ged has been self-employed for over ten years, working as a consultant for banks and finance houses in London and the Home Counties. Ged helped set up the Haslemere Youth Hub to improve services for children and young people in his home town and now sits as a trustee on the charity board.
GED HALL, FARNHAM & BORDON
A familiar face will be on the ballot paper when Waverley voters go to the polls this month to elect the MP for Farnham and Bordon. But blue won’t be the colour for Ged Hall, as the former Tory and deputy WBC leader will be attempting to upset the applecart as the Reform UK candidate.
Having left the Conservatives after becoming disillusioned with the fallout from Brexit, Mr Hall says he’s received more support as a Reform candidate than he ever did as a Tory. And although he’s aware of the challenges that face him and his party over the next fortnight, he’s confident his party will make an impact whatever happens this election.
“To my mind, Reform UK represents common sense policies,” said Mr Hall, who agrees with the perception is that his party is what the Conservatives should be and used to be.
“Over the last few years I increasingly felt that successive governments have ducked the larger national issues to pander to party politics.
Mr Hall campaigned for Vote Leave during the referendum and when they emerged victorious, he expected the government to “take advantage of the economic and social freedoms” that resulted from deregulation. But the “bonfire of EU regulations” wasn’t lit, leaving the people with the worst of both worlds.
Stop the Boats
The EU still has huge control over our borders and laws - we must leave the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
Reform UK will make sure no illegal immigrants will be accepted into the UK.
Cut through and get rid of the Liberal Civil Service and replace them with “believers in Brexit” who want the best for Great Britain.
Stopping the boats? Why can’t our border force intercept them and tow them back to France?
Rwanda, (what a joke!), it’s just there to give people hope! If we can’t take them to France then they should be held offshore until processed and sent home.

Our Economy Needs Reform
Reform UK will back risk takers and wealth creators and make
sure that Britain is open for business.
CRITICAL REFORMS NEEDED IN THE FIRST 100 DAYS:
Free Over 1.2 Million Small and Medium Sized Businesses from Corporation Tax
Lift the minimum profit threshold to £100k. Reduce the main Corporation Tax Rate from 25% to 20%, then to 15% from Year 3.
Abolish IR35 Rules to Support Sole Traders
Britain’s self-employed often work longer hours and take more risks. Many have no pension and receive no sick pay.
Lift the VAT Threshold to £150,000
Free up small entrepreneurs from red tape.
Thereafter:
Support Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Abolish Business Rates for high street based SMEs.
Offset this with Online Delivery Tax at 4% for large, multinational enterprises to create a fairer playing field for high streets. Cut entrepreneurs’ tax to 5%.
Reform the Planning System
Fast-track new housing on brownfield sites and infrastructure projects to boost businesses, especially in coastal regeneration areas, Wales, the
North, and the Midlands.
Slash Red Tape to Boost Industry and Exports
Scrap thousands of laws that hold back British business and damage productivity, including employment laws. We must make it easier to hire
and fire so that businesses can grow.
Reform the Tax System
Major simplification is needed. At over 21,000 pages, the UK’s tax code is a burden. Hong Kong’s tax code is under 500 pages
Get builders, to build more homes for UK residents.
The Two Party System is Broken
Ged Hall knows the two-party system does not work. What is the difference between the Tories and Labour, apart from the colour of their logos?
Reform UK supports Proportional Representation, where every vote does count.
People are waking up. Labour is no longer the party for ‘working class people’ and the Tories are no longer the party for upper management. You now have a choice. Reform UK will give voters the ability to make real change happen, to save the UK economy and our social structure before it’s too late. Vote Reform UK!
We live in a Christian country, whether you are religious or not, we live by Christian values of fairness and respect for all.
Did you vote for Mass immigration?
Hall says he certainly did not vote for mass open borders migration and believes neither did you.
Mass uncontrolled immigration is being forced upon us to the detriment of our own people and our own society.
When we have military veterans and other people who have no choice but to live on the streets and beg, people born in the UK and or have made a contribution to it, when illegal immigrants (what part of illegal do the Tories not understand), why do we put these illegal immigrants in 4 and 5 star hotels (I wish I could stay in them for more than a weekend, once in a while).
We give these illegal immigrants, free foods, heating, mobile phone and even free money and not have to work and even all their legal bills are paid for, oh and did I mention they get put to the top of the list when it comes to council properties.
We give all illegal immigrants, free food, free accommodation, free heating, a free mobile phone with paid for airtime and even free money and they don't even have to work. On top of that, all of their legal bills are paid for and they get put to the top of the waiting list when it comes to council properties ahead of British people and legal immigrants who have been waiting months and years.
Who can blame ilegal immigrants for wanting to come to Great Britain? It is a very appealing invitation to receive everything for free, paid for by the British tax payer. What’s more our government openly advertises and promotes what illegal immigrants will receive when they get here.
